MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY RICHARD GILDER CENTER

Cassidy coordinated with specialized consultants to design and document insect display cases, translating curatorial, conservation, and fabrication requirements into precise exhibition casework.

She produced drawings and construction documentation to support fabrication and installation.

She also developed three-dimensional models and coordinated custom lighting (LX) housings within stringent spatial, conservation, and technical constraints.

Cassidy consulted with museum experts to develop detailed exhibition casework that met stringent specimen requirements for climate control, lighting, etc.

She also contributed to the design and development of interactive interpretive elements related to these specimens.

PROCESS

Display case concepts were 3D modeled to evaluate different aspects like viewing angles, lighting sources, and fabrication feasibility.

Cassidy advanced the design of these lighting elements from conceptual development through fabrication, ensuring alignment with curatorial intent and conservation standards.
